LUNCH IN THE CANYON OASIS:
Tour departs from the lobby of the Spa Resort & Casino in downtown Palm Springs. While en-route (only 10-15 minute drive) to the world famous Indian Canyons. Your naturalist guide will provide the rich and colorful history of the area, explain where the water comes from and show the results of tectonic plates bumping heads in our backyard.
Entering the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indian Reservation, your expert guide will identify some of the 200 plants Cahuilla ancestors harvested for food and medicines. As you enter the second largest natural palm oasis in North America the rugged beauty will take your breath away. Thousands of ancient palms stand guard over a spectacular mountain stream complete with cool pools and tumbling waterfalls.
Enjoy a Chef prepared lunch while tucked away in one of natures miracles…a majestic palm oasis sprouting in the middle of an arid desert environment.
